Terms of Use

1. Nature of the Service

Modulink is a non-commercial proof of concept (PoC) and testing platform. It is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The platform may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

2. No Warranty

The operator makes no representations or warranties regarding the reliability, availability, accuracy, or completeness of the service. Specifically:

• The service may contain bugs, errors, or interruptions
• Data may be lost or corrupted without warning
• Features may change or be removed at any time
• The service may be taken offline permanently without notice
• No backups of user data are guaranteed

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from or related to the use of or inability to use the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, academic consequences, missed deadlines, or any other losses. Users acknowledge that they use this service entirely at their own risk.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Modulink, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information during registration
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Not use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the service
• Not rely solely on Modulink for critical academic planning -- always maintain your own records

5. WebUntis Integration

If you choose to connect your WebUntis account, you do so at your own discretion and risk. Modulink stores your WebUntis credentials in encrypted form solely to provide the timetable import feature. The operator is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way associated with Untis GmbH. Any issues arising from the use of WebUntis credentials through this platform are the user's responsibility.

6. Intellectual Property

The Modulink name, design, and code are the intellectual property of the operator. Content you create (modules, notes, resources) remains your property. By using the platform, you grant the operator a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Account Termination

The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. As this is a PoC, the entire platform and all associated data may be shut down at any time.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of Modulink is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is collected, used, and protected.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the use of Modulink shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bern, Switzerland.

10. Changes to These Terms

The operator reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
